At Projectors Australia, we aim to make your shopping experience as smooth and reliable as possible. This Returns Policy outlines your rights and our procedures regarding refunds, exchanges, and repairs.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Change of Mind Returns
We offer a 28-day change-of-mind return policy to give you peace of mind.
Conditions for change-of-mind returns:
- Item must be in saleable condition — unused, unopened, and in original packaging with all manuals and accessories.
- Proof of purchase is required.
- A 10% restocking fee applies to all change-of-mind returns to cover processing and handling.
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Returns requested after 28 days will not be accepted.
To begin a return, please contact our customer service team at admin@projectorsaustralia.com.au to obtain a Return Authorisation Number (RA#).
Return Shipping Costs
- You are responsible for the shipping cost when returning an item unless the item is faulty or damaged.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- We recommend using a trackable service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. Projectors Australia is not liable for lost or damaged return parcels.
Faulty, Defective, or Damaged Items
If your product arrives defective, damaged, or not working as intended, we’ll make it right.
You may be eligible for:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund or store credit

In some cases, products may be sent to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the cause of the fault.
Products with No Fault Found
If an item is returned and no fault is found, a $55 + GST service fee per item will apply.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Products
Products deemed Dead on Arrival (DOA) must be reported within 14 days of your invoice date. Please retain original packaging and notify our team immediately at admin@projectorsaustralia.com.au.
Non-Returnable Items
Returns will not be accepted for:
- Opened or used products (unless faulty)
- Special order or non-stocked items (unless faulty)
- DOA claims reported after 14 days
- Items returned without an RA number
Important Notes on Repairs
- Goods presented for repair may be replaced with refurbished goods of the same type.
- Refurbished parts may be used in the repair process.
- Data loss may occur during inspection or repair. Please back up or remove any personal data prior to return.
Claims for Shortages or Damages
All claims for missing items, damage, or shipping discrepancies must be made within 24 hours of receiving your order.
Unclaimed Goods
Goods left unclaimed 14 days after repair notification may be considered abandoned and disposed of.
